Sister and ancestor of the mandolin, the mandola is now especially popular for the interpretation of popular repertoire of the Algerian Chaabi, and its Arab-Andalusian harmonies .
Philippe Bosset offers two lines of strings – with handmade loops – for this noble instrument:
– Silver (20 g) plated copper strings for lovers of warm, velvety tones.
– Phosphor Bronze strings, with a brighter tone adapted to styles that are more modern.
Of course, these lines also have an anti-sulfur coating so they can last three times longer than ordinary strings.

Bambino a débuté la guitare depuis son plus jeune age. C´est à 11 ans qu´il a effectué ses premiers accords. Il a bercé son adolescence en musique avec les dignes héritiers du maitre Django : Mandino REINHARDT, Tchavolo SCHMITT, Bireli LAGRENE… Il a débuté la scène en 1984 avec la formation : “Minto et Bambino” et a participé à l´enregistrement d´une compilation de Jazz Manouche, avec la participation sur ce disque de : Bireli LAGRENE, Mandino REINHARDT, Minto TRABER, le Violoniste Schmitto, l´Ensemble ROUTY… Il a également participé à plusieurs reprises au Festival International Tzigane organisé par l´APONA à Strasbourg entre 1993 et 2003.
